OC 911 alerted Solvay for a vehicle on fire, reported to be 15 feet from a structure. Engine 12 and Car 1 (Woodworth) checked out immediately after dispatch, with Car 1 arriving to find a fully involved engine compartment, about 20 feet from the residence. Engine 12 stretched a line and quickly extinguished the blaze. Engine 21 arrived shortly thereafter assisting the Station 1 crew. Due to a quick knock down, most of the owner’s belongings in the vehicle were saved. Past Chief Bosco was in the area and filmed the operation. Crews cleared in about 20 minutes. Units assigned: Car 1, Car 2 (Cantello), Car 3 (Spaeth), Car 400 (Ryan), Engine 12, and Engine 21.
