EXTRICATION AT NEW YORK STATE FAIR GO-KART TRACK

Saturday afternoon Solvay Engine 21 and Rescue 11 responded to the scene of a Signal 80 at the Go-Kart track at the Infield of the NYS Fair. Engine 21 arrived first finding one patient trapped in a go-kart after a collision with another kart. Rural Metro Medical Services began patient care as Engine 21 began to remove the roll cage from the kart. Rescue 11 arrived and with the use of reciprocating saws removed the fiberglass exterior gaining access to the patients lower torso. The patient was removed and transported by Rural Metro Medical Services. Solvay units cleared. Units operating: Solvay Rescue 11, Engine 21
