Early Tuesday evening, Solvay Rescue 11 on the initial box alarm as R.I.T. responded to the Warners-Memphis fire district for a reported house on fire. Initial reports from the caller stated that a barbeque grill got out of hand catching the siding to a residential structure on fire. Warners Car 1 arrived and confirmed heavy smoke and fire showing from a 2 ½ story residential structure. Rescue 11 responded with 6 volunteers soon after dispatch. Rescue 11 arrived fourth and was reassigned from R.I.T. to an interior fire crew. In addition, Engine 22 also responded. Rescue 11 and Engine 22’s crews worked on opening up the inside of the house checking for fire extension and conducting salvage/overhaul operations. Units returned to service around 2000 hours.
