Industrial Fire | Buckley Rd. | Liverpool

Late Saturday Afternoon, Liverpool Car 3 spotted smoke in the area of Buckley Rd. and Park St. Upon further investigation, smoke was found to be coming from a large, vacant industrial building on Buckley Rd. and the assignment was filled for a building fire which added Solvay Rescue 11. Liverpool Engine 1 was first arriving and began to stretch as Solvay Rescue 11 arrived second. Upon arrival, Rescue 11's crew was assigned to search of the structure. Rescue 11's crew split into two teams and began a primary of the building which came up negative. Once finished with the primary search, Rescue 11's crew was given a new assignment and assisted with exstensive ventilation of the structure. Liverpool crews made quick work of the fire which was contained to an old production area of the structure. Rescue 11 operated on the scene for just over an hour before returning to service. Additional units from Liverpool, North Syracuse, Mattydale, and Moyers Corners also responded.
