Rope Rescue Training

Within the past year, Solvay Fire has purchased a large compliment of low angle rope rescue equipment and has undergone hours of training to prepare our firefighters to utilize the equipment in emergency situations. With the weather finally breaking crews were out in full force today conducting evolutions to remove a downed person on a sloped incline. Crews worked behind Solvay High School to perform the training. With the new equipment, our firefighters will be working monthly to refresh and build their skills with the equipment.
