Solvay Engine 21 responded to this working fire around 0230 this morning in the Baldwinsville fire district. Engine 21 was added to the call after all hands were working from the initial dispatched assignment. This was one of three fires that Solvay Fire units have assisted with in the past 24 hours.

Shortly after 01:00 hours on February 9, 2021, Solvay Fire was alerted to a possible house fire on Charles Avenue. Engine 11 was first arriving and confirmed reports from police stating active fire showing from the second floor. Around 05:30 this morning Solvay volunteers responded to our second in district working fire of the night, this time on Center St. Engine 11's in house crew arrived within minutes, rescuing one trapped occupant from a second floor window while the second team began stretching a line to extinguish the fire.
