FIRST DUE SIGNAL 98| VEHICLE FIRE WITH EXPOSURE

The Saturday night crews had a busy night tonight. The second box alarm of the evening brought a fully involved car fire with minor extension into a multi-family dwelling. Dispatch reported several children trapped in the residence. Truck 11, Engine 12, and Car 3 (Bosco) arrived less than 3 minutes after dispatch to locate the fire which was spreading to the structure. Truck 11's crew performed a primary search of the structure with negative results as Engine 12 made quick work of the fire. Fairmount Rescue 1 provided RIT services and Taunton Ladder staged as command held 1 and 1. Additional Solvay units responded also, but were returned. Units cleared after about 2 hours. Excellent job by all crews operating. Photo credit to Matthew Ryan
