RESCUE 11 SECOND DUE TO LAKESIDE SIGNAL 99

In the late morning of 7/17/14 Solvay responded on a Lakeside box alarm for a reported structure fire on State Fair Blvd. Onondaga 911 had callers reporting smoke showing from the second floor and roof. Solvay Engine 21 was assigned the R.I.T. however Rescue 11 checked out first. Lakeside Ladder 1 was the first piece to arrive with Solvay Rescue 11 second due. Rescue 11 went to work laddering the alpha and charlie sides, conducted a search, secured utilities, advanced the second line to the fire floor, and conducted overhaul operations. A minor fire was found with some extension on the second floor in the ceiling. Units were back in service by 1200 hours. Solvay Units Operating: Rescue 11 and Car 1 (Spaeth)
