SECOND STOVE FIRE IN TWO DAYS| THIS TIME IN WESTVALE

Sunday Night crews were alerted to a reported stove fire in Westvale. Engine 22, Engine 21, and Truck 11 responded to find an active fire in between the stove top and oven. Truck 11's crew handled the fire with a water can. Crews remained on the scene ventilating the smoke filled structure. The fire had sparked due to mice storing food in between the stove top and oven. Crews returned to service after removeing the stove from the residence.

This was the second stove fire in two days for Solvay Fire, the first being on Boulder Rd. in the village. That fire was handled by Engine 22 and was quickly brought under control after a cooking fire.

Crews Operating in Westvale: Solvay Engine 21, Engine 22, Truck 11, Car 2 (Zingaro), and Car 3 (Bosco).
