Solvay Fire was dispatched to the 300 block of Center Street for a reported residential fire Monday night. Solvay Engine 22, Engine12, Engine 21, and Truck 11 were first arriving, finding a two story wood frame structure with nothing evident. The engine companies secured two water supplies and worked on fire suppression and checking for extension. The truck laddered all four sides of the structure and worked on salvage operations. Upon further investigation crews found fire in a partition wall and ceiling on the second story of the house. Crews made quick work of the fire preventing any further spread or damage. Crews returned to service approx an hour and a half later. Units Operating: Solvay Engine 12, Engine 21, Engine 22, and Truck 11, Fairmount Engine 6 (R.I.T.), and Taunton Ladder 5.
