SIGNAL 99- W. GENESEE ST.- SOLVAY

On this evening, Solvay, Fairmount, and Taunton were alerted to the 2600 block of W. Genesee St. for the house on fire. Onondaga Communications Center was recieving numerous calls reporting smoke coming from the structure. Solvay Car 2 arrived and confirmed dispatch. Solvay Engine 22 arrived and quickly went to work stretching an attack line into the structure. Command called a Signal 99 (working fire) which brought additional units to the scene. The fire was brought under control and was contained to three rooms within the house. Units remained on the scene conducting overhaul operations and ventilation for the majority of the night. UNits returned to service around 2200 hours.
