Signal 99- 100 Block of Charles Ave.- Solvay Fire District. Engine 22, Truck 11, Squad 12, and Squad 21 responded to the call for the house on fire around 0130 hours. Engine 22 arrived with 4 volunteers 1 minute and 45 seconds after dispatch finding smoke showing from side A of a 2 1/2 story dwelling with police yelling that one person was trapped inside. Engine 22 called the Signal 99 and found a... fire in the kitchen. Engine 22 quickly brought the fire under control and assisted one occupant out of the structure. One dog was also rescued from the structure. Command held with Solvay units only, who remained on the scene for ventilation and overhaul. Units returned to service around 0230 hours.
