SIGNAL 99 | ONONDAGA RD | ONONDAGA HILL

In the late evening hours, Onondaga Hill, Taunton, Farimount, South Onondaga, and Solvay (R.I.T.) were dispatched to Onondaga Rd. for the residential fire. Solvay Rescue 11 responded with 6 volunteers and arrived second behind Taunton Engine 6 to a two story residential home with smoke and fire showing from the attic. Command on scene called for the Signal 99 (working fire dispatch) as arriving units went to work. Solvay Rescue 11 established R.I.T. on the A/B corner as half the crew began to ladder the building and remove obstructions to points of entry/exit. Crews remained on scene for approx. two hours as the fire was brought under control and overhaul was conducted.
