Signal 98 | Blackstone Way | Geddes: At 1429 hrs. Solvay, Taunton Ladder 5, and Fairmount Engine 6 (R.I.T.) were dispatched to the report of a garage on fire on Blackstone Way. Onondaga 911 then advised units multiple calls were coming in for a fire spreading on the outside of a garage connected to a house. Units arrived to find fire had only damaged the outside of the garage with no extension into the garage or house. The fire was extinguished by neighboring Solvay firefighters utilizing a garden hose. The assignment was quickly scaled back to Solvay units only to await fire investigators. No injuries occurred during the incident.
