2 Extricated on I-690 | Geddes

At 1739 hours, Solvay was alerted to a reported MVC at the exit for the Orange Lot and I-690 WB. Solvay Engine 21 (from Station 4) and Solvay Rescue 11 (Station 1) responded and arrived quickly despite the heavy traffic from the State Fair. Units found a four door sedan blocking one lane of traffic that was struck by a semi on the driver's side. Crews began providing patient care as Rescue 11 went to work removing the driver's side door. Two people were extricated and care was turned over to the ambulance.
