Industrial Fire | Milton Ave. | Solvay


After 2300 hours Sunday night, Solvay Fire was alerted with mutual aid companies to a reported fire at Berry Plastics on Milton Ave. in Solvay. Engine 11 arrived soon after, established a water supply, and found a heavy smoke condition throughout the large industrial facility. the crew then stretched the 400 ft. 2 1/2" line to a water thief and connected the high rise packs. Engine 11's crew found the fire and kept it to its room of origin. Engine 21, Truck 11, and mutual aid companies assisted in ventilation once the fire was put out. Units returned service by 0130 hours. Solvay units operating: Engine 11, Engine 21, Truck 11, Squad 21, Car 2, and Car 3
