Signal 99 | Elizabeth St. | Baldwinsville

On Monday 7/24/17, at 1054 hours, Baldwinsville, Lakeside, Liverpool, Moyers Corners, Fairmount, and Solvay were alerted to a reported fire with people trapped in the Village of Baldwinsville. Upon arrival of the first Baldwinsville command unit, the occupant that was initially reported to be trapped had escaped. Smoke was reported to be showing from the second floor of the house. Initial arriving units began to make progress in suppressing the fire as command upgraded the assignment to a Signal 99 (all hands working fire). The timer was stopped around the 25 minute marker as the bulk of the fire had been brought under control.

Upon arrival of Solvay Engine 11, with four personnel, command put the crew to work helping check for fire extension and then transitioning into overhaul. Engine 11 operated on the scene for approximately 1.5 hours before returning to service.
