MVC Entrapment | W. Genesee St. | Solvay

At 2045 hours, Solvay Fire was dispatched to a reported MVC with injuries at the intersection of West Genesee St. and Fay Rd. Rescue 11 responded and arrived to find two vehicles blocking the intersection after a T-bone style collision. It was quickly identified that the driver of the four door sedan in the collision would require extrication. Fairmount Fire Department was requested for an engine company to respond as Solvay Rescue 11's crew went to work removing the driver's door with hydraulic rescue tools. The driver was then removed from the vehicle and transported for non- life threatening injuries
