Tuesday afternoon, Solvay Engine 21 responded to Fairmount for a residential fire with reports of one person trapped. Units arrived to find fire showing from the front of the house. Solvay Truck 11 assisted in covering Fairmount's station while units operated on the scene. Due to quick work from Fairmount and mutual aid departments, the fire was brought under control within 10 minutes of the initial dispatch. The trapped occupant was removed from a roof without incident and transported to the hospital for evaluation.
