First Due Working Fire | Woods Rd. | Solvay

At 1016 hours this morning, Solvay Fire, Fairmount Truck 1, and Taunton Engine 6 were dispatched to the 200 block of Woods Rd. For a reported residential fire with a person reported trapped. Taunton Car 1 arrived and reported smoke showing from the second floor with one occupant hanging from a window.

The occupant was removed from the home and treated by EMS. The fire was found on the second floor with minimal extension into the attic. A signal 99 was declared and additional units from Lakeside and Liverpool responded as well as fire investigators, emergency management, gas, electric, and the American Red Cross. Crews worked quickly to bring the fire under control within 30 minutes of dispatch.
