2 Alarm Fire | Wolf St. | Mattydale

Late Thursday evening Mattydale was alerted for a possible building fire at a local auto shop. Their crews arrived to find a auto-body shop well involved in fire. Command quickly upgraded the incident to a second alarm fire adding additional apparatus including Solvay Truck 11. Truck 11 responded and arrived within 10 minutes of dispatch. Truck 11 was placed in a near-by parking lot on side D. The crew quickly set up and once a water supply was established from Liverpool Engine 3, Truck 11's aerial was placed into service.

Due to the heavy involvement of the structure, Truck 11 remained on scene and operating for close to three hours before returning to service. While the Truck operated in Mattydale, Solvay staffed two in house crews to ensure protection to the Village of Solvay and Town of Geddes. Solvay units were back in service by 0100 hours February 3.
