First Due Working Fire | Lamont Ave.

At 1918 hours Engine 11 was dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire at the intersection of LaMont Ave and William St in the village. Engine 11 arrived at 1923 to this fully involved vehicle fire, which had rapidly extended up the cedar siding on the adjacent bar. A full structure response was requested, bringing Engine 12, Rescue 11, Squad 21, Cars 2&3, Fairmount Truck 1, Taunton Engine 6 and Liverpool Engine 5 to the scene. Engine 11 had the fire knocked down on both the building and the car in a little less than 2 minutes. Engine 12 and Rescue 11 conducted searches and overhaul, Fairmount Truck assisted with overhaul and extinguishing minor extension. Units cleared the scene in about 90 minutes.
