Multiple Occupancy Fire | Greenpoint Ave. | Liverpool

Around 0500 hours this morning, Liverpool, Moyers Corners, North Syracuse, Mattydale, and Solvay were dispatched to the 400 block of Greenpoint Ave. in Liverpool Station 2's area for the report of an apartment building on fire. Units arrived to find fire showing from the second floor and eaves of a two story apartment building. Solvay Rescue 11 arrived second and assisted in stretching a back up line. Rescue 11's crew also assisted with searches and overhaul. All units operating on the scene were able to bring the fire under control within 30 minutes. Due to the frigid temperatures, crews remained on the scene late in the morning picking up frozen hoselines and cleaning up. Rescue 11 went back in service by 1000 hours.
