SIGNAL 98: FAIRMOUNT, COLUMBUS AVENUE

Fairmount, Taunton, and Solvay units were alerted for a reported house on fire at 232 Columbus Avenue after a citizen walking by noticed smoke coming from the roof. Fairmount Car 3 and Engine 7 arrived to smoke showing from the ridge vent, crews investigated inside and located a smoldering fire in the attic that they were able to quickly extinguish. Solvay Engine 12 operated on the scene as Fairmount command held with units on the scene.
