RESCUE 11 TO CAMILLUS SIGNAL 99

At 2130 hrs. Camillus, Fairmount, and Solvay were alerted to Ellington Court for the smell of smoke with alarm bells sounding. Camillus Car 2 arrived to find a multiple occupancy building with heavy smoke showing. The alarm was held at a Signal 98 but was soon upgraded to a Signal 99. Solvay Rescue 11 responded in place of Engine 21 as the R.I.T. Upon arrival crews established their R.I.T. area and began to throw ladders to the building. After the building was laddered the crew stood by and acted as an extra set of eyes for the safety officer. Fire was quickly brought under control and was released after being on scene for a little more than an hour. Solvay Units Operating: Rescue 11.
