RESCUE 11 & ENGINE 21 TO ROLLOVER SIGNAL 80 WITH ENTRAPMENT

At approximately 1100 hours on Monday, Lakeside Fire was dispatched to a signal 80 on State Fair Blvd. Once more information was gathered from the callers, Onondaga Communications Center dispatched Solvay because the location had changed from Lakeside's first due to Solvay. Lakeside Rescue 5 continued to investigate and Solvay Rescue 11 went enroute. Lakeside Rescue 5 was first to arrive and found a commercial truck on its side on the I-690 EB on ramp from State Fair Blvd. in Solvay's first due. Rescue 11 arrived and both 11 and 5 began to stabilize the vehicle. Crews found the driver still entrapped in the cab of the truck and were only left with the option to extricate the patient using the hydraulic rescue tools from Rescue 11. Engine 21's crew arrived and controlled vehicle hazards and also assisted Rescue 11's crew with the extrication.
