SIGNAL 98 | ONONDAGA BLVD. | WESTERN LIGHTS


At approx. 1600 hours, Solvay Fire was dispatched to a dry cleaning business on Onondaga Blvd. in Western Lights for a reported fire in a dryer. Geddes Police, in the area, arrived and confirmed dispatch. Solvay Engine 22 and Truck 11 responded and arrived at the same time finding smoke showing from the rear of the one story commercial structure. Engine 22 positioned on the A,D corner and stretched a 300 ft. attack line. Truck 11’s crew forced entry to the closed business and found the fire still actively burning with some extension. Crews were able to knock the fire down with a water can and then proceeded to ventilate the building. Units returned to service around 1645 hours. Units Operating: Solvay Engine 22, Engine 12, and Truck 11.
