Door Pop | Cogswell Ave. & Second St. | Solvay

Around 0800 hours, Solvay Rescue was alerted to Second St. and Cogswell Ave. in the Village for a reported two vehicle MVC. Solvay Engine 21 was first arriving and confirmed injuries and one person still in the 4 car sedan. Due to damage on the driver's side, Rescue 11's crew put the Amkus hydraulic tools to work and removed the driver's door. Solvay Engine 21 established fire protection by stretching the front bumper line. Engine 21 also tended to the occupant inside the red 4 door sedan. The occupant was removed and was transported by the ambulance on the scene to a local hospital. All units then returned to service.
