Joint Ice Water Rescue Training

Throughout the month of February, Solvay, Liverpool, and Moyers Corners conducted joint training in Ice Water Rescue evolutions. Solvay crews traveled to Liverpool for two nights to discuss and review equipment used for ice water rescue as well as procedures for utilizing the equipment. On the final night, crews worked together in a frozen area off of Onondaga Lake and went through several evolutions removing people from Ice Water situations. We look forward to continually working with both departments in the future as we expand our capabilities.
